What it is
Short stay without work: Schengen C (€90), UK Standard Visitor (£135), USA B2 ($185 + $250), Canada TRV (CAD 100), Australia Visitor 600 (AUD 200), New Zealand Visitor (NZD 441). Electronic authorisations for visa-free travellers: ETA (UK), ESTA (USA), eTA (Canada), NZeTA, and from 2026/27 ETIAS for Schengen.
What authorities check
Three questions decide: Are the funds sufficient? Will the applicant return? Is the purpose genuine? That means clean bank statements, an employment contract or pension, family and home in the country of residence, a coherent route and insurance for the whole period.
